Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 amaranth powder
  • 1/3 cup cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup melted cacao paste (chunks)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, whipped cream, chocolate chips, etc.

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan with a small amount of butter or oil.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, amaranth powder, cacao powder, and sugar. Stir until well mixed and the dry ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined and the batter is thick and lumpy.
  5. Fold in the raspberries, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake the brownies for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes.
  9. Transfer the brownies to a wire rack and let them cool completely before cutting them
  10. After the brownies have cooled, cut them into squares and serve. You can top them with powdered sugar, whipped cream, or chocolate chips for added sweetness and flavor.
